Hi,
I am to use the C1101 with a MSP430 uC in a battery powered sensor running at 868MHz. I am wanting to use the device in it's optimum low-power mode of operation to extend battery life. The device is to listen for it's Serial Number (4 bytes) being sent from a data collection unit and transmit sensor information back to the unit. The data collection unit is also to use the C1101 but has it's own power supply so is not required to save power. The range only needs to be up to 4 metres, the data collection polls for data every minute communicating with up to 6 devices. I am to use the 32 bit SYNC Word, Address and CRC features.
My intial design thoughts are to have a 24 byte preamble transmitted by the data collection unit allowing a 130ms sleep @ 1.2k Baud.
Does anybody have any suggestions or example code for the optimum data rate, Preamble length, WOR settings to gain max battery life but still have a reliable RF connection.
thanks in advance
