Hello everybody,
i join to this group to try to find good advices from experts to find out which is the best wireless technology to apply for the design i'm going to develop.
First of all i let you know i'm not a IT engineer , i'm a product designer with good ideas and i would like to build this up.
that's why i need your help.
i need to understand which is the best wireless tech and what hardware this device is going to need to have features as following:
- the shape is a kind of bolt, sized 1 inch x 1/2 inch or 2 x 1 cm as in this picture:

- this device has to communicate with other device like it and exchange data. by tagging.
- the range field comunication will be within 4 inch - 10 cm
- it will have a small customizable software inside to allow it to send,recieve and store different kind of informations with other same devices when they meet in the field.
- these devices will be read by an external reader that will download the informations stored inside, always by tagging. (like in rfid\tag technology)
- useful life time usage at least 1 full day. ( i don't know if this could be a passive trasponder with no battery but i don't think so)
making a follow up the main features are: very small size - send,recieve and store data wireless - as well as read by an external reader - 1 day life time usage
that's moreless all.
i studied all the wireless technologies available and and i found out there are many good to apply with but i can't understand which could be the best one for a small device i'm thinking for.
