Forum Post: BasicWifi Application with Launchpad. Can't get smart config to work.

I am following this guide:

I'm using the MSP430G-series launchpad and am not having success connecting the CC3000 to the access point. It seems that the CC3000_UsynchCallback function isn't being called. I have looked around and read some stuff about a patch for the launchpad. How do I use the patch? Is that something I need to run every time I build? Is there any good documentation on the patch? I can't even seem to figure out what it is patching.
