Forum Post: CC1020 Calibration

Hello,

I am looking for some clarifications in the calibration process of the CC1020. Following a calibration or recalibration procedure as described in Figure 29 of the CC1020 Datasheet, i gather that there are two sets of calib values, one for FREQ_A and one for FREQ_B.

1. Are these are stored internally in the chip? If so, the STATUS1, 2, 3 registers give the results of the lastest calibration?

2. Where do the overide values stored in the TEST1,2,3 registers come from? The initial calibration process? In the TEST1,2,3 registers, there is an option to use 0: Calibrated value, 1: Overide value. Could somebody clarify as to the origin of the override value & the calibration value?

3. Say FREQ_A corresponds to the Rx register & FREQ_B to the Tx register, do the TEST1,2,3 values need to be changed when going from Rx to Tx or vice-versa?

Thanks in advance
