My concern will be the current return path (i.e. from decoupling capacitor ground pad and back to the radio). The long current return path will potentially increase the spurious emission. For a 2 layer design with size constraints I would rather have looked at the CC1120+IPC design referred to in previous e-mail. FYI: We have just completed some measurements where we removed all the decoupling capacitors connected to the CC1120 power pins except for pin 29 (note: keep the caps connected to the DCPL_NAME pins). The results are very promising and so far we have seen no significant drawback by removing the caps (somewhat higher harmonics, but still below regulatory limits).
