I'm a new community member and I have a question regarding transmission power management different behaviour between CC2531 on CC2530.
I'm using ZNP application and I've tried to change power transmission using ZMacSetTransmitPower(TX_PWR_PLUS_3); function.
When I flash CC2531 it seems to extend it's transmission ray; a device placed into a ray of 20 meter correctly joins the network.
If I flash the same ZNP application (using CC2530 configuration) the same device placed in the same place does not join the network.
I've looked other similar post and every one tells that the way to change ray transmission is to use ZMacSetTransmitPower() function.
I've used the CC2530EM plugged on a smart RF05 board. Zstack version is ZStack-CC2530-2.3.1-1.4.0.
CC2530 is equiped with the given antenna.
How is it possible?
Any suggestion?
I have a further question.
Is there a relationship table between the transmission power level given to ZMacSetTransmitPower()
function and the coverage ray?
Have I to take a look to RSSI?
