Do you want to have multiple connections on the cc2540 dongle or on the client? As per Bluetooth LE spec, the slaves can not have multiple connections at once. The slave can only be connected to one master, but the master may be connected upto 4 slaves. 

Its not very clear where you want to have multple connections. Can you please elaborate a bit please
