I have the same problem as Timo, the communication with the firmware Josh provided doesn't seem to work.

Have you found any solution, are there other things to change/adjust?

Is it necessary to remove the resistance R5 and R6 as described in here: (e2e.ti.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/667/7558.PaLFI_5F00_Power_5F00_Reader_5F00_Rev3.pdf).

This description doesn't mention it (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra382/swra382.pdf).
