Thanks for ur reply.

The following is working

char SSID[32] = "MUKUNTHANKA";  and when i pass array address, it works without any issue

but when i do define in macro, 

#define DEFAULT_SSID  (char *) "MUKUNTHANKA"

strcpy(SSID,DEFAULT_SSID); then pass SSID array address its not working.

I am using NIOS II 32 bit processor. I don't know what is the problem here and why its not working.
