So it means I have to use router/Soft Access Point.
No way around to establish direct communication.
But I have one doubt in smart con-fig while doing smart con-fig we put the password of router in ipod/android application and it get delivered to the CC3000 then how does this exchange of data happens in between CC3000(which is in smart con-fig mode) and IPOD application(which is connected to access point).
I think for doing smart config IPOD app create some way around to establish direct connection in between CCC3000 and IPOD and share the password of router.
Else it will be more like a magic to me that we are putting a password in IPOD app which is connected to router and it get delivered to the CC3000 which does not even know the name and key of the router.
Let me know your input on it.
