I have run the test on SmartRF board with CC2543 chip module.
I used the same settings you mentioned for the FSC_LOCK observation signal. our FSC_LOCK signal is not periodic at all. As you can see in the figures below

Figure 1 shows a single FSC_LOCK signal, while Figure 2 shows multiple FSC_LOCK signals within wider time scale.
As you can see the FSC_LOCK signal is not periodic at all and not in synch with our transmission period ( every ~300 usec). The payload we are sending at this period is a 9-Byte packet. the RF mode is in basic mode (fixed length).
