Forum Post: Can we lower down chip rate of DSSS in order to mitigate the multipath fading?

Since shorter symbol period will face serious multi-path fading, I am not sure whether we can lower down chip/symbol rate or even disable DSSS to only use QPSK in order to extends the symbol period. we don't have that much need to deal with multi user or jamming signals.
