Forum Post: CC2500 SPI register read problem

Hi, I am using ez430-RF2500 development board. I try to read CC2500 registers thru SPI.

Registers whose addresses are from 0x00 to 0x2E readcorrectly, i.e. their values match reset state values specified in CC2500 datasheet (pages 61 - 81).

But registers whose addresses starts at 0x30 returns incorrect data, for examplePARTNUM register (0x30) returns 0xE0 instead of 0x80 typed in datasheet.

1) Is there any differences in read procedure for these registers? (i read registers in single byte access mode)

2) On datasheet page 81 for PARTNUM register: "0x30 (0xF0): PARTNUM - Chip ID". What is "(0xF0)"?
