Those seem like reasonable suggestions. 

1)  I was researching the E2E about frequency drift and PLL lock when I saw you answering a different question. 

You said:

To ensure that you are going into compression on the LNA inputs of the CC1101 you should have a distance of at least 2 meters between the transmitter and the receiver.

I am often less then 2 meters could this be part of the problem?  If so is there a work around?

2)  For checking frequency drift I should read FREQEST?

3)  For checking PLL lock I should read FSCAL1?
