Hello, Are you defining your "SANDPUPPY" UUIDs to match the TI_BASE_UUID_128 macro in bcomdef.h? Best wishes

It looks like you're hitting an Exception, we can use ROV to get more info about it. Open it by going to Tools -> Runtime Object View. Click on Connect to connect to the target you're debugging. From there click on the Hwi module and check what the Exception tab shows once you land in that state. Thanks, Gerardo

Deleted C:\ti\xdctools_3_50_03_33_core Opened CCS, it detects xdctools_3_50_03_33_core is missing, uninstalls it, asks to restart CCS, I confirm. CCS re-opens itself I open Resource Explorer from CCS, navigate to: Software SimpleLink CC2640R2 SDK - v:1.50.00.58 SimpleLink Academy - v:1.14.02.04 Labs Bluetooth 4.2 Fundamentals In the contents of this page, I go to the "Prerequisites" section, hit the "SimpleLink CC2640R2 SDK 1.50.00" link, and then I get a link to download a Windows installer. I already have this installer. Its not working for me. I guess its not what you mean, so, how do I install this SDK from within the Resource Explorer?

Part Number: CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL Tool/software: Code Composer Studio I get a red message: "Can't find a source file at "/db/vtree/library/trees/mcpi/mcpi-3.30.00.13/exports/coresdk_cc32xx_3_30_00_13/source/ti/drivers/gpio/GPIOCC32XX.c" Locate the file or edit the source lookup path to include its location." Curiously, I can do a "Run>StepReturn" and get back to the call, but I'd like to see what's going on inside to chase down a problem.

Part Number: CC2640 Tool/software: TI-RTOS I am using the CC2640 with TI-RTOS task wake every 12ms, I use ICall_getTicks() to read the time stamp for compare. Notice it is ~900us latency, does this sound normal ? Why I may find the AppsNote provide more timing for task switching

HI Richard, The parallel interface as you have noticed has only one mux option, and the CMD for SDIO has no other option either. This interface has limited usefulness as a video streaming interface since pairing directly with an image sensor results in far too much data to be handled in a timely manner (image must be pulled from sensor all at once!). Even with sensors with JPEG compression, the best quality achievable would be about 10 FPS, VGA. -Aaron

Select the SimpleLink CC2640R2 SDK in Resource Explorer and then click on the download button and select "Download and Install". The same thing will work if you select any of the examples and then click the download button. During the download process it will identify any other packages required and download and install them as well. Here it should also download and install the XDCTools and SimpleLink Academy. Hello Brenden, The latest firmware does use GAP_ADTYPE_16BIT_MORE. If this is an issue, you can modify the source project directly. I've notified the developer so that it can be considered for a future update. Best wishes

Hi Xudan , Can you try disabling the SPI transactions such that you are just doing broadcasting + the advRestart patch? It would be an interesting experiment. Best wishes

When you say you notified the developer, you mean that you informed them that the issue here is that it should _not_ be using GAP_ADTYPE_16BIT_MORE, it should be using GAP_ADTYPE_128BIT_MORE instead? The way you worded the your answer makes that ambiguous, so I just want to be sure :)

If you have power savings enabled, this is likely the wakeup processing time. Please see app note SWRA478 to measure the wakeup time. Best wishes

So I understand that if I make provisions to access the FLASH using an SPI programmer, I do not ever need the UART interface to the host controller (which I don't have). Thank you.

Forum Post: RE: WL1835MOD: How to configure BER test in BLE with HCI tester ?

Ganesh, For BT classic, the commands explained here need to be run after properly initializing the loading the service-pack to the WL18xx. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_Bluetopia_PM_Bluetooth_RF_Testing For BLE, the TX or RX commands that you have mentioned above will put the WL18xx device in the CBT controllable test modes after the WL18xx is initialized and the service-pack is downloaded. As you can see, all of these commands are part of the Bluetooth spec. So they are generic commands for all Bluetooth devices and the CBT documentation will have better instructions on how to use these test modes. The only thing specific to WL18xx here is the proper initialization and the service-pack. So please refer to your CBT documenation regarding how to run each of these tests. Best regards, Vihang

Forum Post: RE: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: How to connect the emulator section of the LAUNCHCC3220MODASF board to a CC3220MODASF module

SGW_Dave, First you want to remove all the jumpers from the power, UART, and JTAG headers (BRD, GND, 5V, VBAT, RX, TX, RST, TMS, TCK, etc.) on the LaunchPad. Then you want to make sure have a common ground by connecting the ground pins on each board. To program, connect the top row pins of the UART headers (shown below) to the corresponding UART pins on your custom PCB. In other words, the UART pin on the left marked RX and the UART pin on the right marked TX must be connected to pin 47 and pin 46, respectively. To debug, you can use J4 (XDS110 OUT) OR the top row pins of the JTAG headers (shown below). Connect TMS, TCK, TDO, TDI to pins 22, 21, 18, and 12, respectively. Connect RST to your reset circuit. Please note that you need a 100k pull down resistor on pin 21. Hope this helps, Seong

Part Number: CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL Tool/software: TI-RTOS My issue is my device has issues connecting and remaining connected to my wifi. So I am attempting to take a more active role in managing my wifi. I like the profile method and below is my attempt to connect to profile zero. The error it comes back with (SL_ERROR_WLAN_USER_ID_LEN_ERROR) because the security Type correctly identifies the network as a WPA network and that sounds like an EAP issue. I know the below function is rough and the GetSecExtParams to SecExtParams jump is nasty looking but if anyone could lead me on where I am going wrong. void CheckWifiConnection() { int16_t status; uint32_t statusWlan; uint8_t pConfigOpt; uint16_t pConfigLen; pConfigOpt = SL_DEVICE_EVENT_CLASS_WLAN; pConfigLen = sizeof(uint32_t); sl_DeviceGet(SL_DEVICE_STATUS,&pConfigOpt,&pConfigLen,(_u8 *)(&statusWlan)); status = SL_DEVICE_STATUS_WLAN_STA_CONNECTED & statusWlan; if (status == SL_DEVICE_STATUS_WLAN_STA_CONNECTED) { return; } int8_t name[32]; int16_t nameLen; uint8_t macAddr[6]; SlWlanSecParams_t secParams; SlWlanGetSecParamsExt_t getSecExtParams; SlWlanSecParamsExt_t secExtParams; memset(&secExtParams, 0, sizeof(SlWlanSecParamsExt_t)); unsigned long priority; status = sl_WlanProfileGet(0, name, &nameLen, macAddr, &secParams, &getSecExtParams, &priority); if (status < 0) { return; } secExtParams.AnonUser = getSecExtParams.AnonUser; secExtParams.AnonUserLen = getSecExtParams.AnonUserLen; secExtParams.CertIndex = getSecExtParams.CertIndex; secExtParams.EapMethod = getSecExtParams.EapMethod; secExtParams.User = getSecExtParams.User; secExtParams.UserLen = getSecExtParams.UserLen; status = sl_WlanConnect(name, nameLen, macAddr, &secParams, (SlWlanSecParamsExt_t*) &secExtParams); if (status < 0) { if (status == SL_ERROR_WLAN_INVALID_ROLE) { sl_WlanSetMode(ROLE_STA); sl_Stop(0); sl_Start(NULL,NULL,NULL); } else { sl_WlanProfileDel(0); sl_WlanSetMode(ROLE_AP); sl_Stop(0); sl_Start(NULL,NULL,NULL); } System_printf("There was an issue with WlanConnect %d\n", status); } }
