is there a simple way to modify the Simpliciti code to get a measurement of an RF signal form a peer, after a SMPL_Ping(peer) was sent. Actually the RSSI is updated only if we received a message from the peer. Since that in our application, the peer may spend a long time without transmitting a message, a separate thread in our server pings all the end devices to check if they are still in proximity. A measure of the RSSI in this separate thread would also be suitable. In our application the number of open radio channels are critical, due to the number of end device involved, and closing the channel is important when an end device is out of range.
