The chip atenna TI recommends for this module is the AT8010. If you use this same antenna you can bypass FCC recertification by the "Modular" grant.
Specifically, the TI CC3000MOD is a FCC certified radio module that when paired witht the same layout guidelines and antenna; re-certifiation is not reqiured.
The TI CC3000 EM was based off of Jorjin's module, you can see their layout guidelines and considerations below.
