I'd like to use CC3000 in my next design in home appliances which is behind the home wireless router/NAT, but won't always know the IP address of the device. The way I would like the system to work is that each device to have its unique host name pre-programmed www.device-serial-number.mydomain.com/ Is using one of the DDNS services the best option? (Hopefully) the device count will be in the 1000s per year. Are there any other methods that can be used to achieve control and monitoring of an embedded system when its unlikely for the device to have a static IP, and even less likely that the customer will know the IP address. I do not see CC3000 comes with an DNS Update Client. Thanks in advance. |
