I am trying to use the CC1111EMK868-915 and TI sniffer software to watch a proprietary 915Mhz protocol. I was trying to use the SmartRF Studio platform with a SmartRF04EB and CC1101EM but then discovered the shutdown bug (http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/155/t/224770.aspx) which means that I cannot use that tool to monitor slow, intermittent messages. I am now trying to use the SmarttRF Packet Sniffer generic package and while using the SmartRF Studio to generate the packet sniffer settings no register is exported to enable whitening. Can I just add a line to the prs file with "PKTCTRL0 |0xDF04|0x45|Packet Automation Control " and will that work? I have already tried and still did not get the thing receiving, but before I spend hours trying other tweaks I'd like some idea if I stand any chance.
