Forum Post: RE: Confusion on appropriate firmware version for Wl127x application

Victor,

You're right - I misspelled the model number.  It is WG7310.

We are trying to pass a wifi regulatory test.  Sorry, if what follows is a little confused - I'm not directly coordinating the testing...

I think the test is "EN 300 328 V1.8.1 tests" - the test item call “adaptive test” is failing.

Apparantly, this test requires firmware 6.1.0.1.149 or 6.1.0.10.335 (according to Jorgin).

Below is the specific test information we recieved:

The following are further comments we recieved:

I ask TI and Jorjin’s FAE, they tell me “LabQuest2 firmware/driver version is 2~ 3 years ago”.  They suggest update new firmware and driver to solve the issue.  Jorjin FAE provide two firmware version, “firmware 6.1.0.1.149” and “firmware 6.1.0.10.335”.     New driver is different framework.

We thought that the 5.05 SDK and it's associated wilink driver/firmware should have been sufficient - but it's firmware version is 6.3.8.0.111_1.  This is what we sent for regulatory testing.

According to Jorgin we need to be using either 6.1.0.1.149 or 6.1.0.10.335.  WE CANNOT FIND THESE REVISIONS ANYWHERE.

Could you point me at a repository which has one of these firmware versions?

Also, I'm assuming I'll need a specific driver version as well - could you point me at a repository for the wilink driver which will work with these versions of firmware?

Thanks so much for your support,

Dennis
