In the event you cannot secure the TMS37157 solution (sorry, I cannot comment whether it is no longer productized or not, but interestingly Digikey has stock of the actual TMS37157 device) perhaps you could consider either an alternative NFC-based solution (such as our TRF7970A) which an connect easily to an MSP430 or even a more integrated solution (RF430XX combining NFC and MCU functions) which we will be offering in the very near future?
I am not certain of your specific design requirements or if your schedule is conducive to these solutions (TRF7970A available today, RF430CL later this year) but perhaps they can be considered? Have you spoken to your local TI contact about this?
