Forum Post: RE: I'm seeking a recommendation for a sub 1Ghz protocol with low currents low data

Hi DIrk,

Thank you for the assistance.

This is a asset management system, meaning Real Time location system.

Two type of sensors

1. Installed static sensors- Perform Scan ruining on electricity(not battery) and need to communicate with each other, so there is some role change, but can be done in predefined periods.

2. Mobile sensors - performing some kind of broadcast every ~3 seconds running on coin cell or similar.(I'm not sure scan/RX is needed at all here)

I'm thinking of 433MHz since it can be used in many countries, but  EU and USA are a must.

Do you have any experience with DASH7? or maybe I should simply develop something based on simpliciTI?

Does only CC430 support DASH7? or maybe I can also use CC1110?

Best Reagrds,

Yaniv
