I am trying to bring up a new hardware design based on the cc2541. I'm using the SensorTag firmware as a baseline even though my I/O doesn't line up to the tag. I configured my switches and LEDS to line up and made sure I had no other I/O conflicts. With only those changes I was hoping to get the iOS SensorTag app to at least find my board although I would not expect data. When I hit the side button, my board transmits a message for 3 minutes at 100ms intervals with no CRC errors (I use the sniffer and dongle) but the iOS tool does not find the board.
Is there something in the sensortag firmware regarding failed start-up tests that prevent connection? Maybe something with the DC/DC or any of the peripherals that must be set. It seems like at times I had the BTLE iOS tool from KST recognizing the board as TI SensorTag and then I possibly screwed things up with a simple configuration of a bit here and there.
My ultimate goal was to quickly interject my data into one of the peripherals and use so e of the graphing already in place to get something up and running fairly quickly.
